    Mitsubishi Outlander AC Compressor

    MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER AC COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT

Mitsubishi Outlander AC Compressor, Recently we replaced the Air Conditioning Compressor on a Mitsubishi Outlander V6.

This Mitsubishi Outlander was booked in for a mobile regas service with us. The owner had complained that the air conditioning wasn’t cooling enough. After the performance and leak testing of the aircon system, we discovered the compressor was leaking and not operating correctly. It can be a common fault on the Mitsubishi Outlander AC Compressor.

Once we replaced the Mitsubishi Outlander AC Compressor and completed the air conditioning service which includes a deep vacuum to remove spent gases and moisture. A vacuum leak test follows this before regassing. We then regas the Mitsubishi Outlander air conditioner to the manufacturer specifications.

Oil is top up as well as UltraViolet dye installed. Finally, the air conditioning system is comprehensively re-tested to check the overall performance. Now the Mitsubishi Outlander has icy cold air conditioning once again.

    CAR AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR

Car air conditioner compressor commonly referred to as the heart of the system. Also, most compressors are belt driven that fastened to the engine. It is responsible for compressing and transferring refrigerant gas.

The car air conditioning systems have two sides: a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side. And it’s defined as discharge and suction. Since the compressor is a pump, therefore it must have an intake side and a discharge side. Most importantly, the intake or suction side draws in refrigerant gas from the outlet of the evaporator. In some cases, it does this via the accumulator.

Also, refrigerant entered into the suction side is compressed. Then sent to the condenser, where it then transfer the heat it absorbed from the inside of the vehicle.
